Fables – A Film Opera

In co-production with Spitalfields Music

World premiere at Spitalfields Winter Festival, 17 Dec 2010
Touring through 2011 – see full tour dates click here

Streetwise Opera’s 2010 production is our second venture into film and live performance following the incredible success of My Secret Heart. Fables – A Film Opera is a collection of short, 7-minute Film Operas, each created by our Streetwise Opera performers working with some of the most exciting composers and film-makers in the UK.

The collection of Film Operas was given its world premiere with a live theatrical staging at the Spitalfields Winter Festival in December 2010 and the films tour to other festivals, cinemas and venues world-wide through 2011. Director Emma Bernard has created an adaptable performance format so that the films can be screened on their own or interspersed with live theatre and music.
