Tram Tracks

Our Manchester performers are creating and performing a song inspired by Manchester Piccadilly tram stop

Streetwise Opera Manchester performs the world premiere of 'Kingdoms Come and Kingdoms Go', an opera chorus composed by our Manchester Composer in Residence, Anna Appleby.

The new composition is inspired by Benjamin Britten’s Canticles, which was Streetwise Opera’s inaugural production in 2002. Anna was one of five Streetwise Opera Composers in Residence who composed a chorus inspired by Britten’s work with lyrics by our performers. The performance took place as part of our Manchester Opera Hour at HOME on 11 April 2017.
