Meet the performer

'Coming to workshops lifts you up and makes you feel inspired. It's like a family - we all work hard together.

'It's really turned my life around - it's helped me give up drinking and built up my confidence. But I still like my rock and roll!

'The highlight of Streetwise Opera is the performing - you work so hard for so many weeks and it's nice to show people. It makes it all worthwhile.'

Meet the performer

'I've been coming to Streetwise for several years and my favourite piece we've worked on is O Sole Mio.

'I like the role plays, especially when you have to demonstrate or act out a scene or action.

'If I could play any character from an opera, I would play Hoffman from Tales of Hoffman. I didn't get to see this one in the theatre but he seems to be a complex character from what we learnt in workshops.

'Come along to Streetwise if you like singing and having fun, meeting new people and enjoying the occasional evening out at the theatre.

'I would describe Streetwise as: contemporary, dynamic, progressive.'
