Streetwise Opera works every week in 11 homeless centres around England delivering a Workshop Programme involving a huge array of participatory arts work (see Workshop Programme in the menu above).

Through this programme we work closely with all these centres and our work is integrated into their work. This means that the work of Streetwise Opera is a part of the portfolio of support for homeless people – we engage and encourage the performers and the confidence and self-esteem that they enjoy helps them engage more with centre services and move forward quicker and better.

Once our performers have been re-housed we are committed to remain working with them since this is a particularly vulnerable time for many people as they find their feet in a new community. Regular social interaction is vital at this point.
