What a touching, unique show this was... a powerful plea for the acceptance of loners and outsiders, of individual conscience, and of the differences between us, in a world that increasingly demands conformity... performed with wonderful energy, assurance, intensity and spontaneity. There wasn’t a whiff of condescension: just a surreal sense of some blissful world having been created in which all people can fulfil their potential

Positive Change for Participants and Critical Acclaim
Streetwise Opera continues to be successful both in terms of the social and artistic results of its work. We believe that these two strands are inextricably linked - we believe we can only achieve the benefits we see in participants if the artistic quality of the work is good and we can only produce an excellent artistic product if the quality of our engagement with our participants is of the highest order. We then see both transformational change in the lives of participants and world-class shows which win the highest national critical praise.
