Dorking Camerata – 26 May, Brancepeth Castle, Durham

This amazing concert by Dorking Camerata at Brancepeth Castle in County Durham is raising funds for Streetwise Opera and Kenya Children’s Home, Nairobi. A magical mystery tour through Brancepeth Castle, brought to life with live music. If the walls could talk, they would speak of love, betrayal, battles, faith, work and play, feasts and drinking… Dorking Camerata will sing of a day in the Renaissance life, with music by Byrd, Morales, Weelkes, Monteverdi, Carissimi and many others, including the traditional song ‘Bobby Shaftoe’, which has its origins here. In the course of the evening singers and audience will move the performance through from chapel to dining room. Get fit and support Streetwise Opera

Streetwise Opera still has places in the British 10k, a 10k run through the heart of central London on 8 July. This  is a great event and a brilliant opportunity to raise vital funds for Streetwise by getting sponsored.
