Volunteering
Volunteering is a great way to develop your skills, meet new people and work as part of an enthusiastic team, so why not get involved. We are a dynamic, friendly organisation and volunteering for us is interesting, rewarding and great fun.
“Thank you for the sterling opportunity to work as part of a team with Streetwise. We were given clear instructions, the event was very well organised and well timed. Let me know if you would like me to volunteer again… be happy to help. ” Streetwise Opera Volunteer
Volunteers allow us to run a high quality, extensive music programme which wouldn’t be possible without them. Therefore they are a much valued part of our organisation. Our volunteers have the opportunity to gain skills and experience in:
- Working alongside vulnerable adults
- Managing large groups
- Health and safety awareness
- Using music to raise confidence and self-esteem
- Further knowledge of opera
We’re always looking for helpful and committed volunteers for both daytime and evening opportunities and any help however small is always appreciated. Volunteers can help with Theatre Trips, Public Performances, Fundraising Events and Workshops. We will be performing as part of the cultural Olympics festival this summer and that will be a fun way to get involved in our work.
If you are interested then download the Volunteering with Streetwise Opera info sheet and the Streetwise Opera Volunteer Application Form Return your application form via email to Nicholas at the Streetwise Opera office.
