Emily Hurrell
Development Manager
Emily Hurrell

Emily spends her time inspiring people and organisations to support our work, in a team with Camille and Clare, particularly looking after our Friends, Commissioning Circle members and the other fantastic individuals whose gifts enable our work to happen.

From a family of professional musicians, music has always been passion #1. She started her career doing orchestration, artist management and teaching the cello, before learning about the joys of fundraising and development at the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment. She ran away to the circus (National Centre for Circus Arts) for three years, where she developed her fundraising practice further, before joining the Streetwise team as Development Manager in 2016.

Emily shouts proudly about being from Barnet, loves to sneak out of the office to go and sing with our performers in their workshops, and outside of Streetwise time sings in a choir and likes to be outdoors (especially when she can feast on beans from her dad’s allotment!).
