Sue Hurrell
Newcastle Gateshead Programme Producer
Sue Hurrell

Sue works for Streetwise Opera part-time, organising the workshops at Sage Gateshead. She makes sure everything is organised, from the room bookings to the cuppa during the break. She works with the workshop leaders, the support worker and volunteers to ensure that all our participants have a great time and feel welcome and supported. She also makes friends with people from other organisations in the arts and the homeless sector to create really strong working partnerships with them, and to help us reach as many people as possible.

During the rest of the week she is a musician (clarinet and alto sax) and creative programmer and producer, working on a huge range of exciting regional projects and playing in lots of musical ensembles, including orchestras, big bands and street bands.
